"Grindintosecond" (Grindintosecond)

Remember my post about the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ? Videos like this show how. In the link, I describe how I now have 30 gallons of the solution that’s sat in a plastic and closed trash barrel for near 4 years. Well, I opened it. I opened trouble. (Disgusting picture ahead)
Holy fuck! That rancid smell is worse than anything from a roadside bloated/exploded cow. Possibly not as bad as a ruptured bloated whale-shark on the beach. I triple trash bagged my hands and set up a constructors bag to put that whatever the fuck cosmic stenchy thing that is into. Well, it broke up and separated and settled to the bottom, probably mixed into the rotten shark solution.
The plan was to scatter the molasses fertilizer over the lawn and run the sprinklers for a few hours but after discovering the worst, I doubt the smell would go away anytime soon after doing so. The small careful effort caused only a few drops to come in contact with my fore arm and know two small drops hit my t-shirt. I had a hose ready and sprayed my arm, my shirt is awful just from those two drops.
*sigh*
A great new TV show would be ‘dumb home mechanic mistakes’ where crap like this has to be discovered and dealt with.
What the hell do I do now.?

Demon rum with possible actual demon, minimal rum. Be sure to pour some all over a pad of concrete to permanently darken it and establish a stench that will never wash out. Particularly useful if you have a dead body under the concrete you wish to mask.

Can you transport it? I wonder if you could just get rid of it at a RV dumping station, just as if you were emptying the “black water” tank.

25 gallons is about 200 pounds. Dunno how to get it up into a truck without a hospital bad situation

Actually, I’m thinking something like in The Crow with the gasoline:
Except it won’t be gasoline and fire, it will be horrible tar and stench. And it won’t be a crow:

I shudder to think of the black fog that would follow my truck anywhere with a bunch of 5 gallon buckets open in the back...

Maybe gopher butts would make a better solution?

LOL gross. Well, I guess you could get some lids for the buckets... They’re pretty cheap, and should have a gasket ring in the lip.
OR, maybe you could just pour enough of the solution into buckets to lighten the barrel, and then pour them back in once the barrel is in the truck.

Is it super thick? If so, can you thin it out with something?
Then use one of these to fill smaller, managable buckets. Then take the stuff somewhere to dispose of it.

It’s about 2.5 gallons of feed store syrupy molasses, cut 7:1 maybe 10:1. It’s watery. I’m definitely going to get that pump and work a transfer to another barrell in my truck, then dispose. Calling the local long time plant nursery about this case it’s really a rancid liquid fertilizer now. They ought to know

I just tried to bucket transfer maybe a quart+ and poured that on a corner of my back lawn just as a test. Broccoli farts have nothing on this. I mean this is crying game shower bad. I hosed a few gallons of water on the spot and think that helped but ill know for sure in the morning.

Yeah, I ended up with an entire kiddie pool full of electrolyte solution (tried electrolysis on body panels) and couldn’t just dump it on the lawn. Had to pump it into containers and deal with it that way.

sounded like you were milling down fenders with electrolysis. as if you were being sneaky, and shaving weight by just outright thinning the panels....

No, just trying to remove rust on panels that I didn’t want to blast.

Talking to my brother about rust removal, and sudden ly remembered your posts from last year... Did you ever get the whole disposal thing figured out?

YES! And I should probably post about it. Turns out the properties of Molasses in soil draw nutrients to the plant. You can buy dried molasses at plant stores fo r that purpose. So Since it’s only Mo lasses and water I suspected it should be fine. I bit the bullet, dipped a 5 gallon bucket in there and scooped about two gallons and hurried to the back yard and threw it across the grass to test it out and see the result. I sprayed the hose on the area for a while as well.
Oh it stunk but because it was already so rotten it quickly broke down and dissipated. So I continued to do that to the whole thing evenly ac ross a quarter of the yard and sprayed it liberally. All good. The grass over there looked slightly better in the end. I’ll probably have to get rid of the trash bin however, as no matter how well I scrubbed it, it still has a slight odor....pretty gross when you get it.
So, after using the solution, throw it out across the lawn and hose it. youll be fine becuase it doesn’t smell until it’s rotten and that takes a while.
